Employee diagnosed positive with COVID-19

April 7, 2020

Residents, Families and Partners,

At Rose Court Assisted Living and Memory Care, we’re committed to keeping you up-to-date and informed, especially during the turbulent times caused by COVID-19.

We are writing to inform you that one of our employees has been diagnosed positive with COVID-19.  The employee first showed symptoms on April 6, was tested the same day, and has been quarantined at home since that time. The employee’s test results came back positive today.

We continue to take urgent action to minimize the possible exposure associated with this virus, and all of the interventions referenced in our previous communication remain in place.   Our staff continue to monitor residents for signs and symptoms as or any other changes in condition on a regular basis.  Our staff continue to maintain infection control measures when interacting with our residents.  We conduct hourly cleanings.  Staff members are assigned to limited areas of the building, to minimize the risk that any infection could spread.  In addition to these steps, we have contacted the local health department and they have confirmed that we are taking all actions recommended with this new diagnosis.

As always, we will notify residents’ primary physicians and designated family members of any changes in their loved one’s condition, whether potentially related to COVID-19 or not.

Please reach out with questions, concerns, or requests for assistance.  We will keep you updated as additional information becomes available.
